FIREFIGHTERS rushed to rescue a father-to-be who had glued his hand to a kitchen worktop.Robert Claeys thought he would do a spot of DIY at his Old Swan home after a kitchen drawer handle fell off.

But he suddenly found his right hand was stuck to the worktop, and nail varnish remover, hot soapy water and a scouring pad would not shift it.Eventually the 23-year-old and his heavily-pregnant partner Kate Hampton, 20, had to call the fire service, who arrived with sirens blaring and blue lights flashing.

He said: “I can laugh about it now, but at the time I was panicking to death because I did not know how they were going to get it off.”

COMMENT

As regards the last sentence above, sawing his hand off may have worked.....No I was only joking, honestly.
