FLOATING communities are the next big development opportunity – and Liverpool will get a glimpse of their potential this week.Liverpool Marina owner and property developer David Beard will outline his vision of “building on the water” on Wednesday at WaterfrontExpo 2008.
He said: “Water in the UK is an unrecognised and under-valued resource which ought to be a new development medium.”
“There is a lot of houseboats in Scandinavia and Holland as individual homes, but we want to give an example of different forms of floating communities. These boats are ideal for lakes, docks or sheltered harbours.”
COMMENT
Floating Communities now?. Can any Merseysider imagine this taking into account the filthy state and condition of the river Mersey. What's left of our beautiful coastline should be preserved not built on. The rats will have a field day with these floating houses and I don't mean the illegal immigrants, asylum seekers or Westminster politicians here either.
We all know that this country is already overpopulated, if you don't know this you need to get out a bit more. There is definitely a trick being played here by the developers along side council authorities as there is only so much building you can do on land. Once this gets started our coastline would resemble something akin to a Bangladeshi shanty town in the rainy or flood season.
The British National Party do not support this floating house scheme madness. This is Great Britain not shanty Britain.

Justice Minister Jack Straw has let me down says angry Michael Shields
JAILED Liverpool fan Michael Shields has attacked Jack Straw in a scathing letter from his prison cell.The 21-year-old wrote to the Justice Minister who last month said he did not have the power to grant him early release.
In the letter written from Haverigg Prison, the former Edge Hill student likens Britain to the Bulgarian state that jailed him.In his letter he said: "I start this letter by saying how disappointed I am by your decision and empty promises".

Welcome to the real world Michael. Do you honestly believe that a British Labour politician would be interested in your plight. Even when Jack Straw last showed his face in Liverpool over the Ken Bigley kidnapping it was just for a photo opportunity, he wasn't really bothered about Ken so there's not much hope for you mate. Maybe if you had terrorist connections to Osama Bin Laden you may have been out by now. All the terrorists in Britain seem to be out on tag, hey why don't you try and claim asylum you would have ten people looking at your case then.
Talking about useless Labour politicians I wonder if the useless fat lump of lard Peter Kilfoyle will pull his snout out of the trough and fight for Everton FC to stay put, now that there is a problem with the move to Knowsley.

£500k Asylum Seeker to pay back £1.
AN IRANIAN asylum seeker who falsely claimed £25,000 of benefits has been ordered to pay back £1.
Dishonest Massoud Montazery, 29, claimed money from the state even though he had £500,000 in a separate bank account.
Yesterday, a Proceeds of Crime application took place at Liverpool crown court for him to pay back his ill-gotten gains.
But as Montazery had no recoverable assets, the confiscation order of £24,973.67 could not proceed.
Instead, he was told the pay back a nominal fee of just £1.

What a complete and utter joke, how dare this dirty cretin take our tax money when British people are in need of that money themselves! The courts are a complete and utter joke, what are they going to do with £1, stick it in a high interest account?
As for having no recoverable assets my rear end, he is wearing a nice leather jacket there take that and everything off him such as his house cars and his clothes leave him with nothing but his dirty underpants!
We have BRITISH pensioners getting locked up for not paying council tax because they cant afford it, and cretins like this feller getting fined £1 and set free. Complete and utter joke!

The £500k refugee!
It has been reported in the local newspaper the Liverpool Echo that an Iranian asylum seeker is facing deportation after falsely claiming benefits. The Liverpool Echo said "AN IRANIAN asylum seeker is facing deportation after he falsely claimed up to £25,000 of state benefits.
Massoud Montazery, 29, lied to immigration officials about the existence of a bank account containing £500,000."
Ironically this comes out after the British National Party in Liverpool have been extensively leafleting County ward Walton where he lives. We also leafleted the street in which he lives today.
Why should asylum seekers be getting all this money while we have our own people suffering. Instead the money should be spent on the hospitals, our soldiers, education or even giving better support to British people who genuinely need the support.
