Great work and entertainment if you can get it.

I couldn't resist this one from todays Independent (ABOVE), absolutely hilarious!

Pressure mounted on Jacqui Smith today after it emerged she claimed almost £23,000 in expenses during a single year for her second home. The embattled Home Secretary is already embroiled in an embarrassing row after claiming for two porn movies watched by her husband Richard Timney pictured below..

The fact that he was watching porn is particularly embarrassing since she has taken a tough stance on the sex industry including a pledge to crack down on lap dancing clubs.Critics said the latest scandal had left her credibility in 'tatters'. But she insisted she had no intention of resigning as she was not at home when the explicit movies were viewed.

COMMENT

Did she have any credibility anyway. The most upsetting and infuriating thing about all of this is that they are so tight they even put an eighty eight pence sink plug on the expenses, the pair of tight gits!!

  1. In December 2008, Timney was discovered to be behind a series of letters to newspapers praising the work of Smith, however he had failed to disclose that he was both her husband and in receipt of a £40,000 salary to manage her constituency office.

    X lol.

  3. FIREFIGHTERS TO GET HIJABS AND TURBANS
Lincolnshire firefighters show off their new uniforms
A new uniform for the Fire and Rescue Service was rolled out yesterday

FIRE chiefs have been blasted for introducing hijabs and turbans as part of the uniform.
The politically-correct headwear is on offer along with full-length skirts.

Bosses obsessed with “diversity” claim the clothing will tempt more ethnic minorities to join the brigade.

But Campaign Against Political Correctness co-founder John Midgley said: “The fire brigade should ensure that the safety of the public and all of its staff are paramount and I hope that this is not going to be harmed by what at face value seems to be a politically-correct decision.

“This is a decision which seems to contradict its own entry requirements, whereby the hearing and vision of firemen should not be impaired.”
“In any case, the firefighter’s job itself is not open to strict Islamic women who are not allowed to work with men to whom they are not married.”

Retired firefighter David Fitzgerald, 68, from Birmingham, said: “This brings a whole new meaning to the PC brigade.

“If it’s been good enough for us for so many years, why change it?”

The grey and red pieces of clothing, also including long-sleeved shirts, maternity and sportswear, were unveiled by the Lincoln-shire brigade.

Fire Minister Sadiq Khan said: “We want the widest range of applicants to join the Fire and Rescue Service.”

Jagtar Singh, spokesman for the Asian Fire Service Association, said: “We are pleased to note that the fire service is now taking seriously the issues of culture and religious belief when purchasing corporate and protective clothing for firefighters.”

Lincolnshire’s Chief Fire Officer Mike Thomas said: “I look forward to seeing my operational firefighters protected to the best

    LMAO.

KILLJOY bishops were blasted for refusing to ring bells on St George’s Day fearing a backlash from other religions.
Just five of the 44 Church of England heads supported plans for a show of support.

But St George’s Day fans urged bishops to see sense last night.

Christian Voice director Stephen Green said: “People of other faiths aren’t offended by bells. We should celebrate the day, not be ashamed.”

A Muslim group that wants to open a giant £100 million mosque in London has set its sights on “winning the whole of Britain to Islam”.

Tablighi Jamaat aims to build an Islamic complex near to the site of the 2012 Olympic stadium, with a mosque for 12,000 people, by far the largest religious building in Britain.

The organisation, which has millions of followers worldwide, insists that it is a peaceful, apolitical revivalist movement that promotes Islamic consciousness among individual Muslims. However, intelligence agencies have cautioned that the group’s ability to fire young men with a zeal for Islam acts as a staging post, for some, along a path that leads to jihadist terrorism.

Kafeel Ahmed, the Indian doctor who died from burns last month after trying to set off a car bomb at Glasgow Airport, is the latest in a line of terrorists for whose initial radicalisation Tablighi Jamaat has been blamed. The group (literally, the preaching party) belongs to the ultra-conservative Deobandi school of thought within Sunni Islam, whose adherents run more than 600 of Britain’s 1,350 mosques

MPs to censor their own expenses
MPs are to set to begin censoring their own expenses records before they are published.

Members will this week be shown copies of thousands of receipts and other documents due to be published under the Freedom of Information Act.

They will be invited to redact the documents, blacking out information they do not want to disclose.
MPs' expenses: The Cabinet's biggest spenders
Jacqui Smith expenses claims total £157,631
MPs could get £20,000 lump sum paymentThe Commons is spending thousands of pounds paying security-cleared specialist contractors to remove any sensitive information like bank details from receipts.

But even after the contractors have vetted the documents, MPs will review their claims and make further changes of their own.

Harriet Harman, the Leader of the Commons, says the redaction process is harmless and necessary to preserve the privacy of MPs.

But the editing process has raised fears that MPs will use the opportunity to keep some information secret and even to delay the whole publication, which is supposed to take place this summer.

Recently we heard a story about a UK hospital where a group doctors and surgeons got sick.

Reportedly, one of the surgeons discovered that a hospital cleaner was cleaning the doctor's kitchen with the same cloths used to clean the toilets.

I have found hospitals in parts of Third World Asia to be much cleaner and much more efficient than the typical UK hospital.

In UK hospitals, deaths involving Clostridium difficile rose by 69% from 2004-05, the Office for National Statistics has said. (BBC NEWS Health Hospital bug deaths on the rise)

Reportedly, UK hospitals have too many managers and too many of these managers do a very poor job.

According to Sir Gerry Robinson, "There are 5,000 more people now employed to tend to organisation than there are consultants (senior doctors).... in the case of the NHS, what we need are far fewer – albeit far better – managers. " 'Cure the NHS with far fewer managers'

Just as the UK education system has been ruined by bad management, by both local and national governments, so the UK National Health Service has been damaged by idiot officialdom.

Since June 2007, 52,117 prisoners have been let out up to 18 days before the halfway point of their sentence. The figure includes more than 10,000 violent offenders.

No room: 52,117 prisoners have been let out early to create more space
The Ministry of Justice figures showed more than 1,000 alleged offences had been committed by criminals let out early, including burglaries, muggings, sex offences, rape, and three murders.

Shadow Justice Secretary Dominic Grieve said 'This is a direct result of Gordon Brown's reckless failure to provide enough prison places.
'Releasing criminals early has already resulted in three murders and over a thousand other crimes

  13. Tory councillor's gender joke led to a dressing down by police

Light-hearted: Councillor Yardley said he didn't realise there was a transgender person in the room when he made the joke
The question-and-answer session had started in unremarkable fashion.
As the 50 members of the public at the police liaison meeting were handed their electronic handsets to take part in a survey, an official told them: 'Let's start with an easy question to get us going.
'Press A if you're male or B if you're female.'
But it seems nothing is ever that simple. Someone asked: 'What if you're transgendered?'
'You could press A and B together,' quipped Conservative councillor Jonathan Yardley.
And that's where the problems started. Unbeknown to Mr Yardley, the person who had asked the question was partner to a transgendered individual, also at the meeting.
And although Mr Yardley believes others found his quip amusing, this couple certainly did not.
A complaint was made - and as a result, he was spoken to by police for his ' homophobic' remark.

Yesterday, the 48-year-old councillor said: 'I went to meet a sergeant and an inspector who told me what I said could be homophobic and started giving me advice on what sort of humour I should engage in.
'They put me through the mill and asked me to confirm what I'd said and told me that a complaint had been made and I could be prosecuted.

'I find it ridiculous you can get in trouble over an off-the-cuff remark, with no malice intended. I didn't even know there was a transgender person there.
'There are much more important issues that the police should be spending their time on. These are the politically correct times we live in. You can't make jokes any more.'
Mr Yardley is chairman of the quarterly meetings in Wolverhampton because he is the city council's cabinet member for neighbourhoods and community safety.
The first few questions out of the 36 had been intended to establish the demographic of the audience.
The married father of one, who was not arrested, added: 'I've been trying to get more police into my ward, Tettenhall Regis, where there are the usual problems of anti-social youths, burglary and car crime. It just adds to my frustration that the police have to deal with petty complaints like jokes.
'I blame the Government for all the edicts they send out which seem to stop the police doing their real job and involve them in bureaucracy. Any innocuous remark now has to be investigated.'
Chief Superintendent Richard Green, head of police in Wolverhampton West, said: 'We met Councillor Yardley for a short discussion, at which various policing issues were discussed.
'One of the many issues that were informally discussed included the matter he now refers to.
'At the time he thanked the officers for discussing the matter with him and the appropriate and proportionate way that they dealt with the matter.'
Mr Yardley made his quip in October. He decided to speak out after reading how a Muslim charity accused Sir David Jason of making inappropriate remarks when he made a joke about Pakistanis last week.
The award-winning actor got into hot water when he asked: 'What do you call a Pakistani cloakroom attendant?' before delivering the punchline: 'Mahatma coat.'

Many people are skeptical about President Obama's foreign policy acumen, but offering a welcoming hand to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown ought to be a no-brainer. After all, Great Britain is our oldest and staunchest ally. Combine that with Obama's superhuman charm, and one might see the makings of a great visit. Not even close.

Brown came to Washington and met a White House and a State Department that were embarrassingly unprepared for his arrival. No state dinner, no joint press conference. But the traditional gift exchange was the capper. Brown presented Obama with a signed first edition of Sir Martin Gilbert's definitive seven-volume biography of Winston Churchill, only to discover that the bust of Churchill given by Tony Blair to George W. Bush had been returned to the British embassy by Obama's staff. Brown then presented Obama with a penholder made from the timber of a warship that combated the slave trade. In return Obama gave Brown a stack of Hollywood DVDs. Brown is blind in one eye and doesn't watch many movies, and unless he knew to buy them in the PAL format, the DVDs are not compatible with British disc players.

The excuse the White House gave was that Obama is overwhelmed with handling the financial crisis and is exhausted and out of sorts. The message here is: It's not that our president is callous; he's just in way over his head. One ignorant State Department official, when questioned by the London Telegraph, compounded the embarrassment by yelling about the special relationship between America and Great Britain. "There's nothing special about Britain. You're just the same as the other 190 countries in the world. You shouldn't expect special treatment." If this is a window to how our foreign policy is going to be handled over the next four years, then we have some serious problems coming our way.

  19. UNITE SELL MORE WORKERS OUT!

More sacked car workers stage sit-ins as protests spread to factories across Britain

Hundreds of sacked workers today stormed plants at a car parts firm to protest after nearly 600 jobs were axed.
Former staff staged sit-ins and roof top demonstrations at three Visteon factories around the UK claiming that they had been 'stabbed in the back' by the company which supplies US motor giant Ford.
The workers, some of whom had been employed at the plants for almost 40 years, were given just 20 minutes notice to clear their lockers and leave on Tuesday.
Many will only get a quarter of the redundancy pay they expected and a fraction of their pension after the UK arm of the company went into administration.
Enlarge Motor woes: Workers at the Visteon Factory, who supply components to Ford, are demonstrating outside the Essex factory today after the entire work force was laid off yesterday
Union officials said Visteon had sacrificed long-serving British employees to save cash after outsourcing work to cheaper plants in Eastern Europe and Africa.
Staff are demanding action to save more than 560 jobs at the three plants.
Around 200 staff face the axe at a plant in west Belfast and 100 of the workers stayed at the site throughout last night.
They claimed the company's former owner and main customer, Ford, had promised contracts which they now want to see honoured.
Union representatives asked workers to hold off on a threat to picket Ford showrooms until more information was available.
Visteon UK employed 173 staff at the Basildon plant, 227 in Enfield and 210 in Belfast.
The wider group has a 33,500-strong workforce and operations in 27 countries.
Workers gained entry to the factory at Enfield and were occupying the site while scores of other employees were staging a demonstration outside the factory in Basildon, according to sources.
Steve Hart, an official of the Unite trade union said yesterday's announcement of job losses and site closures had been a 'body blow' to British manufacturing.
'Our members have taken direct action to support what is a productive plant at Enfield and we call on Visteon to reopen it and support British manufacturing.'

lighting up cigarette in hotel lobby.
When 96-year-old Cyril Carter treated his wife to a weekend break at a luxury seaside hotel, he allowed himself a cigarette to celebrate.
But the war hero's holiday was ruined when staff 'fined' him £100 for the pleasure.
Mr Carter had decided to take his wife Lydia, 93, for a mini-holiday in their home town and booked into the £150-a-night Ramada Plaza, in Southport, Merseyside.
Shock fine: War veteran Cyril Carter, 96, pictured with wife Lydia. In the 1920s when he started smoking, 20 Woodbines cost just 6 old pennies

When the former RAF airman went to check out of the four-star hotel in January this year, he discovered a £100 smoking 'fine' added to the bill.
The pensioners could not afford the sum - which was marked on his bill as a 'cleaning the room' charge - so Mr Carter was forced to ask his sister-in-law to help.
Since the smoking ban was imposed in July 2007, the maximum on-the-spot fine for smoking in an enclosed workplace or public space is £50, or £30 if paid within 15 days.
But businesses can impose their own fees for costs such as cleaning.

  23. MIGRANT FLOOD... IT'S ALL FAULT OF THE FRENCH Phil Woolas The French problem is that they can arrest them and then in some cases have to let them go because of their own statutory framework Phil Woolas

Labour has been blasted for trying to blame the deluge of illegal immigrants into Britain on the French.
Minister Phil Woolas said the flood could be stopped if illegals in Calais and other ports were deported to their country of origin.

He said: “These people are economic migrants.

“If they were genuinely fleeing persecution they would seek asylum in France or one of the other EU countries.

“These people are desperate to try to get into this country because of what the people traffickers have told them.”

But critics savaged the immigration minister’s comments as a bid to paper over Labour’s appalling record.

They have been accused of failing to keep the UK’s borders secure and failing to deport illegal migrants that pour through.

Damian Green, 53, shadow immigration minister, said: “The French government, like every government, already has the legal power to detain and remove illegal immigrants, and they do so energetically.”

Trucker Ian Gibson, 54, from Birmingham, has witnessed first-hand the problems around Calais and Cherbourg.

He said: “These are people who have no papers, which is meant to be an offence in itself.

“But once they get into Britain we don’t do anything about it.”

Mr Woolas, 49, insisted the Government was negotiating to bring an end to the surge of immigrants.

He said: “The French problem is that they can arrest them and then in some cases have to let them go because of their own statutory framework.”

And he added that the French needed a “link between catching someone and then deporting them”.

    SOUTH AFRICA AND JACOB ZUMA

Jacob Zuma is expected to become South Africa's president. He is a Zulu and is seen as being a 'leftist'.

In the 'right wing' Mail on Sunday (UK), 31 March, 2009, Peter Hitchens tells us about South Africa and Jacob Zuma.

He has four wives and faced 783 corruption charges: PETER HITCHENS on South Africa's next president

    Among the points made:

    1. Zuma rallies include a song called Bring Me My Machine Gun.

    2. Zuma is alleged to be taking campaign money from Colonel Gaddafi.

    3. Zuma has faced 783 counts of fraud, racketeering, tax evasion and corruption which have never come to court.

    4. Zuma has been acquitted of rape.

    5. South Africa has recent experience of:

    'terrifying crime',

    'the pestilence of corruption',

'the absurd purchase of needless submarines and aircraft',

    AIDS,

'violent xenophobic rage against uncontrolled mass immigration',

'the unstoppable spread of shanty towns',

    'electricity blackouts',

    'an overstretched water supply',

'a railway system fraying at the edges'.

    6. "The new rich and the holidaymakers are apparently oblivious of the filth, hunger, alcoholic stupor, drug-taking and wretchedness which lie just the other side of every hill."

    7. Zuma has at least four wives and 18 children.

He joined the Communist Party in 1962.

He was 'a much-feared' intelligence chief in the ANC's 'ruthless' armed wing, Spear of the Nation.

He underwent 'military training' in the old Soviet Union in 1978.

  25. An economics professor at Texas Tech said he had never failed a single student before but had, once, failed an entire class. That class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said ok, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism.

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. But, as the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too; so they studied little.. The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame, name calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great; but when government takes all the reward away; no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that....

  26. Planning The Steps To
    World Government
    By Joan Veon
    4-2-9

In the book of Jeremiah, the prophet tells of the pending invasion of Judah by the Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar. He records, "the snorting of horses was heard in Dan." Can you imagine an invasion of that kind? You have been warned by reports that there is an invading army on the way. As they get closer you can feel the ground move as the multitude of well-trained soldiers and galloping horses get closer to your city. You are strangely aware that your world is going to change forever as you hear the snorting get louder.

That is how I felt fourteen years ago when I read the 1994 United Nations Development Report.

I was absolutely shocked to read the Special Contribution entitled "Global Governance for the 21st Century" by the 1969 Nobel Prize for Economics, Jan Tinbergen. He wrote,

Mankind's problems can no longer be solved by national governments. What is needed is a World Government. This can best be achieved by strengthening the United Nations system. In some cases, this would mean changing the role of UN agencies from advice-giving to implementation. But some of the most important new institutions would be financial-a World Treasury and a World Central Bank. Just as each nation has a system of income redistribution, so there should be a corresponding 'World Financial Policy' to be implemented by the World Bank and the World Central Bank. Some of these proposals are, no doubt, far-fetched and beyond the horizon of today's political possibilities. But the idealist of today often turns out to be the realists of tomorrow.

In that report, it also laid out the changes to be made to the international level of government in order to complete the necessary powers: They included:

A World Central Bank which should have five functions:
    (1) stabilize global economic activity
    (2) lender of last resort to financial institutions
    (3) calm jittery financial markets
    (4) regulate financial institutions and
    (5) create and regulate new international liquidity.

The institution named to be the successor organization was the International Monetary Fund.
This new central bank would float a new issue of Special Drawing Rights-SDRs and it would have "Global Macroeconomic Management" worldwide. It would also acquire some regular control of international banking activities.

A World Trade Organization to be the successor to the General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs.

An Economic Security Council to "review the threats to global human security and agree on required action." It would have 11 permanent members and another 11 rotating members. They would not have any veto and it would "coordinate activities of the UN agencies and watch over the policy direction of all international and regional financial institutions."

Other components mentioned included a World Anti-Monopoly Authority, a World Bank International Investment Trust and a World Bank Intermediate Assistance Facility." The report also called for a World Police force, an International Court of Justice and a World Treasury.

The report stated, "It will probably take some time and probably some international financial crisis-before a full-scare World Central Bank can be created." It appears we are there. For most people, the things that I wrote about were ridiculous. Why? Because they were not reading the same documents I was reading. At the 101 global meetings I have covered around the world, these kinds. of ideas were considered exciting and were being actively discussed, as they are now.

Also in 1994, The Bretton Woods Commission which was convened by Paul Volcker, former Federal Reserve Chairman and James D. Wolfensohn who was the Director of the World Bank met. Their report confirmed the 1994 Human Development Report and called for "greater economic convergence among countries." With regard to a world monetary system, the Commission stated,

Any future international monetary system should focus on the major international currencies which dominate trade and global capital markets. For some time to come these will be the dollar, the yen and the Deutsch mark [or its successor European currency). The alternative to a new global system is to continue the present non-system of loose ad hoc cooperation, dominated by the G7 process (pages 4-5).

Furthermore the Bretton Woods Commission said the IMF "should be given a central role to play in coordinating macroeconomic policies and in developing and implementing monetary reforms." They said that the IMF should be given surveillance in order to secure a more stable exchange rate system and that the Special Drawing Rights are needed-but not now, and should be considered at some other time." Interestingly enough the Bretton Woods Commission was supported by numerous foreign and American Banks which included, J.P. Morgan, Kidder Peabody International, Inc., Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley Group, Salomon Brothers, The Ford Foundation, The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, The German Marshall Fund and S. G. Warburg Group. Some of these banks no longer exist and some even had trouble earlier in our current banking crisis.

I was seeing the plan for a future world governmental structure. I used the 1994 Human Development Report as my blueprint for the future and what I should look for.

Then in February, 2004, I interviewed U.S. Treasury Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, Tony Fratto at the G7 Finance Ministers meeting in Boca Raton, Florida. Part of our discussion follows:

Veon: Given the drop in economic, financial, and trade barriers and as America moves into a global economy what else needs to be done to complete this global economy?

Fratto: There is still a lot more that needs to be done. There are many countries around the world with trade barriers affecting financial services, affecting capital flows, allowing for financial service firms to invest and be welcomed into their countries and we are going to see a lot more of that and it is part of the Free Trade Agreements and negotiations, regionally and at the Doha Round [WTO level]. Treasury plays a major role in negotiating the investment chapters [of the WTO Agreement] and the chapters that concern financial flow and we will see more of that.

Veon: The Bank for International Settlements set up the Financial Stability Forum-FSF-how important is that in today's economy to manage a global system without borders?

Fratto: It is very important. We participate in the FSF regularly and it is very important to help ensure that markets across the world are operating properly and that financial services firms are coping with regulation and changing landscape and financial services. So it is very, very important.

Veon: Given the fact that the economic, trade, financial, political and information barriers between the nation-states have fallen, is there a deadline-2014 or 2020 for the completion of the global financial architecture?

Fratto: No one has put a specific date on it. From our perspective, we don't want to be bound by deadlines, but we want to see progress-steady and every day on these issues. Things like Basel II, we are moving that forward. The liberalization of rules for capital flows-you will see more of that.

Veon: Foreigners have been willing to hold U.S. debt because it is a reserve currency, is there any discussion of a shift to the dollar sharing the reserve currency with the euro?
    Fratto: I will not comment.

Veon: If 65% of central bank foreign exchange reserves are in dollars, will you be discussing how much more they will be willing to hold of dollars?

Fratto: I will let the ministers address those kinds of questions.

As you can see, the U.S. Treasury was actively working to expand a global economic infrastructure. The things that I was hearing on the international level, along with the ideas of the 1994 Human Development Report, were common knowledge to everyone except the American people. Later on in November, I interviewed Paul Volcker and specifically asked him about what he saw for the future. He told me, "What the world needs is a global currency." I asked if he meant "the Special Drawing Right." He refused to answer. Then in 2007, I interviewed him again and asked about the Special Drawing Right. He told me that it had not been on his lips for years. His actions and words are not the same.

As a result of the 2008 Credit Crisis which continues in 2009, Congress has been trying to understand the agenda behind the actions of the U.S. Treasury and the Federal Reserve. In an exchange between Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) and Paul Volcker on February 24, 2009, Ron Paul specifically asked him about his opening statement to the House Banking Committee in which he talked about "strong coordination among national authorities, unifying accounting standards, liquidity requirements, and 'internationally agreed to' arrangements." Congressman Paul wanted to know if Volcker was referring to "a super IMF or if we were going to revive the SDRs? What kinds of discussion are going on internationally right now to devise a standard and are you a participant in these international negotiations to come up with this new system?" Paul Volcker told him, "No, No. I don't know of any coherent or regular discussion going on officially and there are very few going on unofficially in terms of construction of the monetary system." As they bantered back and forth with Volcker refusing to give forthright answers, Volcker said, "I can't tell you the answers-they are not apparent. Make no mistake. This is a unique moment in economic history where the world is going on the basis of fiat currencies." It was apparent by his answers, his laughter at Ron Paul's forthrightness, and his body language that he had no desire to be honest in his global involvement.

In short, we have the global crisis which the 1994 Human Development Report said would probably need to happen in order to shift to a global system of government. It is also glaringly noticeable that the report was right on the money in terms of where the world needed to move to complete a global integration of countries. Without the continuous move to drop the barriers between nation-states that began with the birth of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in 1944 and continued into the 1990s with the birth of the World Trade Organization in 1994, it would not be possible to have the global financial integration through common regulatory laws that the leaders of the G20 are calling for. Furthermore, a world central bank, the Special Drawing Rights, and an Economic Security Council would not be possible. However in a world where there are no longer any barriers between nation-states, total integration and a world government structure is possible.

The newly empowered G20 is actively pursuing greater powers and responsibilities for the IMF. The IMF already has power over all countries, including the U.S., as it does country financial assessments. Furthermore, the Special Drawing Right was adopted by the Bank for International Settlements in 2004 when they switched "for bookkeeping entries" as I was told from the Swiss franc to the SDR. In 1999, when the Financial Stability Forum while set up, was never given much public attention, now it is at the center of the G20 discussions. Lastly, in conjunction with the G20 meetings, a special commission at the United Nations headed up by Dr. Joseph Stiglitz is calling for the G20 to become a fully recognized Economic Security Council on par with the Security Council.

The bottom line is that the above comprises the moving of the ground beneath us. Everything we have experienced as a sovereign country is in the process of being changed. The enemy cannot have the advantage over you in battle if you know his agenda. Do you hear the snorting of the horses yet?

  27. O'Barmy meets completely barmyThe signs are not good. Already the wisdom of President Obama seems to be getting lighter and lighter and could it be that all he has actually got is a smile, just like Blair? I hope not but the signs are not good.
So what about Gordon? What an embarrassment. I just can’t bring myself to watch television anymore as his Gormlessness goes global. He clearly loves it, but he has the presence, charm and charisma of an escaped sloth. Certainly if he were ever to turn up unannounced on the farm I would phone the vet as a matter of urgency and get him darted.
If only I could have a fiver for every time he says 'global.' He clearly has no idea of the meaning of the word or its consequences – although we are suffering directly from them as I write. Has Gormless ever heard of 'Small is Beautiful' or 'The Limits to Growth,' and more importantly, has he read them?
What an embarrassment whenever O’Barmy has been on the Gormless radar. No wonder he is called Brown – the art of the brown nose. His mixture of sycophancy and adulation of O’Barmy has been a matter of constant humiliation. Talk about reflected glory or 'make way - let me touch his robe.' I’m sure in the privacy of Number Ten last night Gormless rolled over on the carpet expecting O’Barmy to rub his chest and give him a Bonio.
And then of course everywhere his master went, the oleaginous David Milibland slithered in his shadow. How they will get the stains off the carpet I’ll never know. If ever Milibland falls into the Thames there will be a major pollution incident – an oil slick of unprecedented proportions. I expect Milibland will be taking O’Barmy up to see South Shields play football this Saturday, as apparently the team is his passion. I wonder if he actually knows where South Shields is? I suppose he is chauffeur driven or goes by plane. Perhaps he shares a car with the equally oily Shaun Woodward and then turns right – who knows?
The recent study showing how little urban-man understands the countryside should now be extended to show how complete idiots like Gormless have no understanding of environmental issues. If he really wanted to help the world then Gormless would stop breathing, as every time we exhale, we breathe out carbon dioxide. Judging by the way in which our Prime Minister gulps air he clearly gives off more than most.
But how is Globalisation going to help the world environmentally? Gormless claims that 'global warming' is one of the major issues confronting the world – yet the global economy is one of the prime producers of greenhouse gasses. So Gormless thinks it is good environmental practice to imports millions of pounds worth of Chinese Tat into Britain does he? From DVD players to plastic angels for the Christmas tree, imported in June?
How about those Zimbabwean peas – when we can grow them ourselves and half of Zimbabwe is starving? Milk from Poland when British dairy farmers are going broke every day? 'Drinka Pinta Milk A Day with ENHANCED CARBON FOOTPRINT.'
It is clear that Gormless understands none of this. Excuse me Gordon, but Globalisation and Environmentalism are incompatible opposites - it is as simple as that.
Gormless and his bosom friends at the BBC consider the whole idea of buying local as 'protectionism.' Sorry you bunch of environmental illiterates, it is 'ENVIRONMENTALISM.' It is very worrying. Throughout this whole crisis of the global economy, the BBC has never actually examined the alternatives. It has shown itself to be the propaganda arm of Government – the mirror image of East German television before the fall of the wall. Oh dear – and then there has been the appalling way in which it has shown the 'violent demonstrations.' More about that piece of police/TV choreography next week.
So now we have another day – or even two – of globalised propaganda and brainwashing and then all these great world leaders will climb aboard their carbon footprints and globalise off into the sunset – leaving Gormless grinning, locked in the arms of the lovely Sarah – convinced that he has grown from Son of the Manse to World Statesman. Please pass me the bucket.
I can’t stand anymore of it. I’m going back to reality – a trip to see red squirrels, real red squirrels, not made of plastic and imported from China.

School bans Muslim mother from parents' evening for wearing veil.

A veiled Muslim mother was turned
away from her child's school after being told visitors' faces should be visible at all times
A mother was barred from a parents' evening at her son's school as she was wearing a veil.
The 34-year-old was turned away on security and safety grounds after arriving in clothes which covered every part of her body except her eyes.
The incident in Blackburn follows a furore over comments by the area's MP Jack Straw about women who cover their faces.
Mr Straw, now Justice Secretary, said in 2006 that veils could make community relations harder as they were a 'visible statement of separation and difference'.
In the latest controversy last week, the mother of one was furious after being told that visitors' faces should be visible at all times.
She insisted that her religion should not affect her access to Our Lady and St John Catholic Art College, a mixed school for 11 to 16-year-olds where she was also a pupil. The woman, who lives in
Blackburn, said: 'I don't like going to the school any more because I leave crying.
'I can understand that people should be identified but I am just a normal person, trying to lead a normal life. Why should how I dress make a difference?'
Police were called to the school when she refused to remove her niqab or leave the premises.
Her wearing of the veil prompted a change of school policy after another parents' evening in 2007.
'I got told not to go into the hall because I was wearing a veil,' said the mother.
'I explained I was willing to take the veil off in front of female teachers but not the male teachers.'
School rules requiring hoodies and crash helmets be removed to gain entry were amended to include full-face veils after this.

Three years ago, Blackburn MP Jack Straw suggested women who wear veils over their face can make community relations harder
The woman added: 'This week at parents' evening, I signed in and saw two teachers in the library as I was not allowed in the main hall.
'Then I was asked by a member of staff whether I was aware of the school's policy on identification. My son enjoys going to the school and has settled in. I am in a strange situation where I can't see how he is progressing or even go to drop him off inside.
'If I had been told this was their intended policy, then maybe I would not have considered sending my son to the school.'
Anjum Anwar, head of Woman's Voice, an advice group for Asian woman in Lancashire, has been working with the mother and school to try to find a solution.

She said: 'We had hoped that the situation would have been resolved.
'We are saddened to hear this young lady is still not given access to participate in her child's education because of her faith.'
Headteacher Colette Gillen said it was important for parents to discuss their children's progress with staff.

Our Lady and St John Catholic Art College, in Blackburn, Lancs, where the incident occurred
She has offered to set up one-to-one meetings between the mother and teachers in her office.
'While this would be acceptable, the difficulty would be if a number of ladies wearing veils were free to wander the corridors or rooms,' said Mrs Gillen.

'It would not be feasible to monitor who is who.'
Mrs Gillen pointed to the Ofsted report rating the school as 'outstanding' for its community cohesion, care and guidance.
Many Muslim women in the UK wear a hijab or head scarf with only a minority wearing the full-length niqab veil.
Mr Straw yesterday refused to comment.

  30. Family in 11th-hour legal battle to halt brothers' adoption by gay Two young brothers face adoption by a gay couple despite the desperate protests of their mother, grandparents and extended family.

The grandparents, an aunt and an uncle have all offered to give the boys, aged six and nine, a loving home but they say social workers have turned them down without explanation.

In the past few days the boys were introduced to the male couple in preparation for a formal adoption next month. But yesterday, in what is thought to be the first case of its kind, the children's middle-class family began an 11th-hour legal battle to halt the adoption.

A church school has angered parents after a teacher invited 11-year-olds to shout out rude words in a sex education lesson.
Pupils' four-letter obscenities were written on a board before a teacher explained their meaning.
Staff at St Laurence School in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, said the lesson was intended to 'dispel' the use of slang terms.
But parents branded it a 'disgrace' and said children were being forced to grow up before they were ready.

Some pupils claim they were told by the teacher not to tell their parents about the details of the lesson, although the Church of England school denies this.

Deputy leader of Muslim group to sue Government in row over extremism Dr Daud Abdullah is demanding a 'substantial payout' or he will take court action
The deputy leader of Britain's leading Muslim group is suing the Government for defamation in an extremism row which could cost the taxpayer hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Dr Daud Abdullah, deputy secretary-general of the Muslim Council of Britain, has sent a solicitor's letter to Communities Secretary Hazel Blears demanding a 'substantial' payout or he will drag the Government to court.

Any legal costs would be met from public funds - along with any payout to Dr Abdullah, who is also a member of the once Government-backed Mosques and Imams National Advisory Board.

The row centres on a controversial document relating to the recent conflict in Gaza, known as the 'Istanbul declaration', which was signed by Dr Abdullah.

Mrs Blears interpreted it as allegedly advocating attacks on the Royal Navy if it tried to stop arms intended for Hamas being smuggled into Gaza.

She suspended ties with the MCB and is understood to have suggested Dr Abdullah resign.

The MCB, which has received substantial Whitehall grants, refused to condemn its deputy secretary-general and accused Mrs Blears of 'high-handed and condescending action'.

  35. SAME AS IN THE UK.

Radical Muslims: Masters of Deception and Manipulation

Muslim terrorists are waging cultural jihad in America —in addition to terrorism. Part of their “cultural jihad” involves manipulating the political correctness of those who run America ’s legal and political machinery.

One of many such examples is the recent case reported in the March 3rd 2009 article, “U.S. Muslim Brotherhood Reacts to California Mosque Infiltration”. The article reported that the FBI used an informant to infiltrate a mosque containing suspected terrorist plotters. The “mosque’s leaders” complained that the FBI’s activity will damage trust between agents and the Muslim community. The Muslims also failed to take responsibility for their extremist speech by arbitrarily accusing the FBI informant of instigating Muslim suspects into using extremist rhetoric.

The reader should note how the Islamofacists are ignoring that the FBI infiltration is legitimate detective work and are falsely presenting this case as an issue of “trust” and “instigation”. Whenever the FBI, as a law enforcement agency, investigates suspects, it is very legal and morally justifiable for the FBI to infiltrate a suspected group with informants. In fact, the use of informants is a legitimate and widely used method of gaining intelligence on suspected criminals. The fact that dishonest Muslims pretend this is a matter of “trust” is an example of political correctness, not intelligence and honesty. The dishonest Muslims are making appeals to “politically correct” sentimentalities to make the FBI and public feel bad for offending (i.e. investigating) them.

Radical Muslims hope this ploy will prevent the FBI or police from continuing investigations into their terrorist activities in the future. This will only help terrorists hiding behind, and receiving support from, mosques to finalize their next plot to mass-murder innocent Americans. In short, radical Muslim pretense at being the “mistreated minority” is an intentional concealment of actual terrorists and their plots.

This “trust/victim” trick, among others, is called “cultural jihad” for a reason. The radical Muslims know our culture is filled with leftwing emphasis on political correctness (i.e. hypersensitive concern for “offending” minorities at the expense of acting justly). So the best way to protect terrorists inside America, corrupt Muslims realize, is to play the “mistreated minority” role every time they are investigated. Hiding terrorists behind seemingly legitimate mosques can also help dishonest Muslims play up the “religious discrimination” and “civil rights” complaints that also mislead the politically correct.

The solution to political correctness is to continue doing solid intelligence-gathering regardless of who it offends. To allow peoples’ hypersensitivity to trump bona fide investigations into suspected terrorist groups will only render our legal system ineffective and unable to defend our nation from terrorism. Part of this solution is based on replacing political correctness with commonsense. It is commonsense that infiltration of suspect groups with informants is legitimate investigative work. This fact does not change merely because the group or individuals in question happen to be of a particular race or creed.

The American public and law enforcement agencies must adopt the rallying cry of the French Revolution when investigating Islamic terrorist suspects: “Boldness, more boldness, and forever boldness.”
