HUNDREDS of people across Merseyside have been under surveillance by local authorities using powers under so-called “terror laws”, according to details released under the Freedom of Information Act.
The use of the laws by local councils and organisations was last night described as a “snoopers charter” by the campaign group, Liberty, who said it was “self-authorisation by over-zealous bureaucrats”, and called for the law to be changed.
COMMENT
Well this is a case of give them an inch and they'll take a mile. The government recently warned councils not to revert (as if they have done things differently anyway) to these draconian tactics. Put the council into the same pot as the police and you would not be able to tell the difference. There is no way the council's are going to give up this avenue to investigate people, in fact my bet is its going to get a whole lot worse, hey the tax payers pay for this abuse of procedure as well.

Big names join summer party to fight racism! - More like drug fest!
THE Merseyside branch of Love Music Hate Racism has announced details of its Big Summer Party, to be held in Liverpool on August 31.
Headliners at the event, to be held at the Picket, include renowned rapper Skinnyman and local soul stars The Elementals.
The Big Summer Party, which comes after 100,000 people attended its sister event in London's Victoria Park, will bring together a host of local, national and international artists.
Performances as diverse as rap poet Curtis Watt and Pete Bentham and the Dinner Ladies will perform throughout the day, reflecting the rich diversity of the people and cultures of Merseyside.
“The Big Summer Party aims to spread a positive and uplifting anti-racism message to the people of Liverpool,” said Martin Timson of LMHR.
“At a time when the racist and fascist British National Party is trying to increase its vote in local elections, this could not come at a more crucial time.”
--- Comment ---
So we are going to see a party with second rate artists and get together of hippies and drug addicts. What I don't think these people understand is that the people who attend these events don't care about the message they just go for the 2nd rate music and a chance to have a bit of fun with their friends.
When the people of Merseyside see the type of people involved in these things I am sure it will only help us achieve better results in the elections. These people are alright lecturing about the 'evils' of the BNP but they wont stand for election themselves and take part in the democratic process which they like to say we threaten which is just another one of their sad and pathetic lies.
We will also be interested to see how much public money is spent on this event from funding to policing costs, we have a magical thing called Freedom of Information Act now which I am determined to put to good use. The BNP have only just started in Merseyside, if they are worried now they will not like to see what we will be doing in the future when we are certain we will get our first councillors.

Echo Debate - the letter they didnt print!
On Monday 21st July 2008, we reported on our blog about the recent debate in the Liverpool Echo about the British National Party. Our branch Treasurer decided to write into the Echo to thank them and also to answer a few points from a couple of letters. The Echo didn’t print the letter, so here it is for you to read.
Dear Sir,
With the resent debate in your letters page surrounding the British National Party having a letter printed by one of our members, Pete Molloy, (Echo, July 9) and the Liverpool Echo stipulating it will stand up for freedom of speech, I would like to add a few points if I may.
Firstly, I would like to thank the Echo for printing letters form our members as it shows that the paper is prepared to allow all points of view to be heard, so that the general public can form their own opinion. This is true democracy that needs to be upheld. With the Echo allowing points of views from any political party does not mean the Echo endorses that particular party’s view, so why should Mr. Jenkins find the Echo’s stance for freedom of speech and democracy so abhorrent( Echo, July 17)? May be he’d rather live in Magube’s Zimbabwe where people are persecuted for their political beliefs if they are different of those of the State.
Secondly, Mr Jenkins states that we are a ‘fascist’ organisation and that there is no place in our city for the British National Party’s ‘vile hatred’. With regards to the former, the British National Party believes in democracy and that is why we want to introduce the Citizens Initiated Referenda, which would provide a great say for the electorate. Greater democracy than we have now, so how can this be fascism I do not know. The latter, Mr. Jenkins fails to provide an example of his accusation, which is very common with people like him. The general public are far more intelligent to except generic statements and want to know hard facts.
With regards to our party Chairman, Nick Griffin, he has never been convicted of denying the holocaust, not least because it is not an offence under British law. He was, in the last century, very critical of the way in which the real suffering and mass murder of the Jews of occupied Europe has been exploited by mainly atheistic gentile leftists as a moral club to stifle criticism of mass immigration. He long ago expressed regret that the language used upset some individual Jews, as, in the post-9/11 world, the free peoples of the West and the Jews need to bury past quarrels and stand together against the threat of Islamic imperialism.
Finally, I am not being disrespectful to Mr Tomlinson (Echo July 18), Chair of the Merseyside Black Police Association, but he is not in a position to understand what it is like to be a ‘white working class British male’ in New Labour’s modern Britain. This is because rascism only seems to cut one way with New Labour and that is why white people may feel they can’t be victims of rascism. May be this is why they are significantly under-represented as complainants at race employment tribunals.
However, I would like to remind Mr Tomlinson of two racial discrimination cases on white males that the Police have committed.
The most recently was that of an ex-British Army Lance Corporal, Ben Mayer, who applied to join the Metropolitan Police in Feb 2008 and was informed by the Met that they were “actively seeking to raise interest from black and minority ethnic communities and females”. And the case of Ralph Welsman, who in March 2006, won a five figure sum from Avon and Somerset Police, because they broke sex and race discrimination laws with its recruitment policy.
So if Mr Tomlinson wants to champion the need of equality in employment then may be he should start ‘in house’ first.

Brilliant Meeting Held in Liverpool!
Last night (Thursday 31st July) saw Liverpool BNP hold a meeting that saw it break 2 records. The first was the attendance which was counted at 110, the second record was the amount raised which was an amazing £855 which will go into helping the Branch campaign on merseyside maybe annoy the council some more. Everyone was impressed with the meeting and the turnout which we did not expect such a high turnout especially this time of year and with the credit crunch hitting people hard. However this just goes to show how motivated our members and supporters are now and how much the party is growing especially on Merseyside. Against all the odds of what our enemies are throwing at us we are growing strong.
The guest speaker of the night was Nick Griffin Chairman of the BNP, he gave a very good speech on the credit crisis that we face. He explained what is happening, what will happen and what we as a party will do about it. The speech was well received with him receiving a standing ovation at the end, such a great speech may of also helped us raise so much money.
We also saw new things at the meeting, we sold our own merchandise such as badges, mugs and mouse mats. This is the first time the Branch has done this and it was a great success and we will do this again and also get in more stock to give the people more choice.
Thank you for those that visited from Wales, Wigan, Warrington and any anyone else who visited and I have missed out. Also good to see people from the British Democracy Forum.
If you would like to get involved or come to meetings please get in touch, the contact details can be found on the banner or to the side of the blog.

Liverpool Council attempt to bully and intimidate BNP member!
THE former owner of Liverpool’s Quiggins centre has been warned by the city’s Culture Company about using the 08 logo to promote the British National Party.
Hill Dickinson, the Culture Company’s solicitors, have written to BNP party member Peter Tierney threatening legal action over his use of a version of the Liverpool 08 logo on an advertising hoarding he tows behind a vehicle.
The threat comes in the same month they contacted former Culture Company chief executive Jason Harborow for using the logo on the website of a consultancy firm he set up after leaving the company.
But Mr Tierney, who trades as Peter Quiggins from his antique dealership on Aigburth Road, claims the threats are unnecessary and heavy-handed.
---Comment---
Yet again we see that excersing free speech is only for the people in charge or indirectly connected to the people in power. Lets face it, the Daily post and the Liverpool Echo collectively are rag bag papers with second rate columnists and writers who dream of bigger things. It is clear that democracy and freedom of speech is not supported by these comics. It is fantastic that the likes of Peter Tierney is standing up for what he believes in despite the bully boy tactics of a few and behind the scene trouble makers of Liverpool Council. We are under no doubt that if Peter Tierney was not a member and supporter of the BNP that no or any legal action would be taken against him, or 'threats' of legal action. God help anyone in Liverool for having an opinion, shame on Liverpool Council and shame on Liverpool Echo and Daily Post for not standing up for the 'little man' on the street. But what else would you expect from these hypocrites.

The BNP may be in the Daily Post tomorrow, they may be running a story on the council being upset about a Trailer going around with the BNP logo and a logo which looks similar to the capital of culture logo with SOLD through it. More tomorrow when we know more and if the story has been published.

Peter Quiggins the founder of the famous and very popular Quiggins in Liverpool City Centre has released this video message to the people of Liverpool and Great Britain. He calls on the people to vote against those who are destroying the culture of our great city and our great nation and to vote for the only party who will defend it. That party is the British National Party.
Lets save our city and culture and vote for the BNP on May 1st!

Campaign going well!
The Campaign on Merseyside for the BNP is going brilliantly with 35,000 leaflets now posted through the doors of local residents. The response we have been getting is amazing, even though we have leafleted most of these places before we are getting as much feed back as we would if we have had never leafleted them.
Maybe its the total incompetence of the lib/lab/con parties which is making people start to support us, maybe its the professional campaign we are running with brilliantly designed leaflets from Mark Collett.
We could see a few surprised and disappointed faces from the other politicians come the May 1st count.

The BNP, Why it is called “Our Quiet Revolution”
IF the British National Party’s candidate Mark Logan, had been defeated in the Gooshays Ward by-election for Havering Council last Thursday there would have been lengthy reports on the BBC News website as well as in The Guardian and the Daily Mirror. But Mark Logan won, and the silence from the media was deafening, which is why we call the growing electoral popularity of the BNP - Our Quiet Revolution.
On the same day, the British National Party also contested a seat in rural West Sussex where our candidate Albert Bodle, was standing for the first time in Yapton Ward for Arun District Council. Here the BNP came from nowhere, to come within seven votes of snatching second place from the Liberal Democrats and secured an incredible 20% of the vote.
COMMENT.
Come the local elections in May we will be going about our business quietly in Merseyside also. Every year the BNP will try and put extra candidates than the previous year giving disgruntled voters a chance to vote for a non PC alternative that will speak up for the silenced British people.
If you are not registered to vote then please get in touch with your local council so you may be added to the electoral register to vote.

At the Council!
Last night a team of BNP candidates attended the meeting in the council chamber to pick up the candidate packs and to ask any questions that we wanted answers too. There was not that many people there considering how many candidates stand in Liverpool across all 30 wards, but we recognised some faces.
One of the filthy vermin creatures from the Labour Party asked whether parties could use the PO boxes as their printed and published address on elections literature, this is because the BNP in Merseyside use the PO box and it just shows that we have them filthy dirty cretins in the Liverpool Labour party worried and they are looking for anything to get us disqualified. However we do things by the book, we will be watching their EVERY move in Liverpool in these elections.
Our Organiser asked about if we can do anything to people distributing illegal literature in reference to third parties such as the communist thugs who call themselves Searchlight, more like searchlies. All they said is that we should contact the police, we will do that and we will make sure we have video/camera evidence.
Then one of our candidates asked whether it is illegal for political parties to give out 'Vote Labour' stickers on the grounds of the polling station to which the answer was yes. So we will get them on that if they try to intimidate the voters at the polling station.
The BNP asking these questions seemed to cause a bit of a stir, with the Labour cretins jumping to the defensive because they know its their activity we was referring too. Put it this way Labour we are coming for YOU!
See you on May 1st!
P.s. Anyone wanting to stand and put the two fingers up to Labour should contact us ASAP, we will do everything for you.

Council taxes to go up an average £67 a household
COUNCIL tax bills across Liverpool will increase by a total of 4.8%, or £67 for the average household. It comes after Liverpool City Council's Liberal Democrat administration announced yesterday it was planning to increase its share by 4.9%.
When added to the Fire Authority's 4% rise and the Police Authority's 5% increase it means bills across the city will go up by 4.8% from April. If approved by the full council on March 5, the typical band A households will pay an extra £44.79 bringing their bills to £964.25, while those in the average band D will pay £1446.38 – a rise of £67.19.
COMMENT
Its not even funny any more. Is there ever going to be a year when any sort of tax does not rise. There will become a breaking point when all of us simply say you can have the clothes off my back as well. Its been well documented on this site how wasteful Liverpool council has been, but I see no chance in the future of any reduction either. I would also like to remind everyone that the economy and all of Britain should also be coining it in, all of us better off due to millions coming into the country on the cheap!...Where are the benefits then?
I cannot see them.

Councillors accused of risking Liverpool’s future
THE poor behaviour of councillors in Liverpool is holding the city back and putting improvements in the quality of life of residents at risk, a report reveals today.
According to the Audit Commission, some councillors are too scared to speak at meetings for fear of being shouted at or ridiculed, and “personally abusive language and aggressive behaviour” is regularly seen at meetings.
COMMENT
The article today speaks volumes of the way councillors conduct themselves. To be fair to Liverpool councillors, the problems are nationwide. Many a time me and my British National Party members have been out on the street, meeting the public or leafleting only to be met with abuse as regards working on "their patch". You only have to observe how some of them behave at the public counts come the May elections to realise what the problems are going to be. To be honest the behaviour of opposing fans at a Liverpool -Manchester UTD game would be a lot better.

Faking It - Dodgy NHS Workers Lie On CVs
A third of NHS Trusts have identified health workers using fake CVs or lying about criminal convictions, according to research seen by Sky News.
The survey was carried out by the CV checking company NDF Associates using the Freedom of Information Act.
It found a third of the 40 Trusts polled had had problems with fraudulent applications.

We commented on unqualified doctors this week putting the lives of NHS patients at risk.

Now it seems the problem may be endemic in this country. The Government along with local councils are guilty of not providing the very basic checks required as regards the qualifications of these so called "professionals". I have to be honest, I wouldn't be to happy knowing I went in for brain surgery, only to find out later the doctor was only a qualified chiropodist. As the infection of "enforced multiculturalism" takes a deeper hold on our lives, will it get to the stage where we, ourselves, have to request to the doctors to prove that they are, who they say they are.

Ex-culture boss Jason Harborow gets £230,000 pay off!
According to the Liverpool Daily post the Liverpool Ex-culture boss Jason Harborow has been given a £230,000 pay off. No doubt this has come at the Liverpool tax payers expense, we in the BNP are getting fed up with how these bumbling fools spend our money. We see these slimy politicians taking us all for a ride, we want this to END! Only by getting BNP councillors elected will we be able to stop this, BNP councillors will pledge to hold the council and its spending to account.
This news also comes after Liverpool was labelled the worst in the country for the way it spends money. This needs to change and we need to make sure OUR money is spent in ways to benefit the community. Down the east lancs the council have waisted thousands of pounds putting up stupid looking flags all the way into town. That money could of been spent on something better, maybe on cleaning/sand blasting some of our historic buildings to make them look good again.
